Calculating emissions
Delico AG takes responsibility for climate protection – with clear goals and measurable action. Since 2020, the company has been working with ClimatePartner Switzerland to calculate its corporate carbon footprint (CCF) in accordance with the internationally recognised GHG Protocol. All emissions along the value chain are taken into account.
-
Preventing and reducing emissions
Scope 1 comprises direct emissions from our own sources, Scope 2 indirect emissions from purchased energy, and Scope 3 all other indirect emissions, for example from transport, purchasing and disposal of products.
-
Offsetting emissions
Delico already relies 100% on electricity from renewable energies. In order to further reduce its own carbon footprint, the company has set itself targets as part of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). In this way, emissions are not only offset, but also reduced on a scientific basis.
-
Creating transparency
Delico's plans include the gradual electrification of the company's vehicle fleet, switching heating systems to climate-friendly alternatives and working closely with suppliers to reduce emissions throughout the supply chain.
Delico's responsible actions also extend beyond its own climate targets. As part of the Beyond Value Chain Mitigation programme, the company specifically supports social and climate protection projects. In this way, currently unavoidable emissions and the emissions of selected certified products are offset – as a contribution to a more sustainable future.

Unsere Zielsetzung
Delico AG has set itself an ambitious climate target for 2025 in collaboration with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). As part of our objective, we are aiming to reduce Scope 1 emissions by 42% by 2030, keep Scope 2 emissions at zero, and measure and reduce our Scope 3 footprint in close collaboration with our customers and suppliers.
About the SBTi
The Science Based Targets initiative is a joint initiative of CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). It provides a science-based framework that companies can use to set climate targets that are in line with the 1.5 °C pathway of the Paris Agreement. The SBTi checks and validates these targets and then publishes them on its website.

Really spicy, really Swiss!
Baergfeuer chilli sauce is the Swiss alternative to mass-produced chilli sauces and is made by hand using fresh Swiss Habanero chillies, Swiss spirit vinegar and Swiss salt. Baergfeuer chilli sauce adds a pleasantly tangy heat to dishes. It stands out for its particularly fruity heat, low acidity and deep red colour.
Together with the independent organisation ClimatePartner, CO₂ emissions have been calculated along the entire value chain – from the cultivation of the ingredients to the delivery of the product. The product carbon footprint (PCF) of Baergfeuer Chilli Sauce was created on the basis of this analysis.
Emissions that are unavoidable despite all measures taken are offset by supporting an internationally recognised climate protection project. So you can enjoy Baergfeuer and make a contribution to climate protection at the same time.
